O the Fates - How we actUP in 2017
"O the Fates" Written by Hannah and Tricia Weiss
What a show this was! We had 26 campers this year who put on a Greek Comedy Based on Greek Mythology and the Odyssey! We had dancers, storytellers, homemade costumes and props! actUP prides itself on allowing the campers to have active roles discovering all aspects of a production and includes many "how to" workshops.

actUP was a HUGE success!!!
As we wrap up a crazy week with over 17 elementary and middle schoolers at actUP, we can't be anything more than grateful to have such a strong support from the community, the kids, the parents and the staff involved with our Youth Theatre Camp. 5 days is not long at all to put on a show, while learning about many different parts of theatre, but this kids were amazing. Under the leadership of Tricia Weiss, A.C.T. Co. Vice President, and one of the program creators of actUP, over 17 students brought to life an adaptation of Tony Howell's "Alice Across the Galaxy" based on "Alice in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass", the story shows Alice on another adventure through space to find her way home. Many crazy characters helped guide her, and she (as well as all the campers and staff this last week) learned "that adventures are not only for one little girl."
We can't wait to see this program grow and are excited to start planning for next years actUP camp. Keep and eye out here for photos, and watch the website, Facebook or email us for more info on next years camp!
Hope you have an amazing time and remember, Be creative, Have fun and actUP.
